Me: At birth, I was named Nigel Mark Davidson. I was born out of wedlock and was given my mother’s maiden name (as my surname). Today, my name is Nigel Mark Cumberbatch (my father’s last name). I was born on Friday, February 15th (the day after Valentine’s Day) in Georgetown, British Guiana. In 1966, British Guiana became Guyana after gaining independence from Great Britain (United Kingdom).
